Is it actual bear grease, or a substitute?

      Lois,

It is actual bear grease. It is rendered similarly to the rendering of lard.

Wow… are bears not protected animals? How interesting,I understand the rendering bit because I do it with pork fat… but a bit of bear?!! So do you eat bear? I’m sorry to sound so ignorant!
