Heart to Hearth Cookery

After the flour, currants, raisins, finely beat blanched almonds, rosewater, butter, cream, ale-yeast, saffron steeped in sack are mixed together for the receipt (recipe), To make an excellent Plum Cake, ten or twelve Eggs, but half of the whites of them are added to the batter.
