This recipe if simply looking fascinating. Is the first sentence a direct quotation of someone’s writing?

      Hi Janet,
The lines I posted in italic (which includes the first sentence) is from a manuscript of “the book of Coockary in great hast transcribed by Edward Blackfan the 25th of October 1702” in the Penn Manuscript Collection of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. The receipts are attributed to Gulielma Maria Springett Penn, first wife of William Penn.
I write some of the lines just as transcribed.

      Cook from the Heart! Susan
