Fish on a Stick

Roasting a trout

To demonstrate the method of roasting a fish on a stick, I roasted a trout at the Green Corn Festival at Phillipsburg Manor.  In the picture, I am inserting the center stick to support the fish after placing the two smaller sticks to support the flesh open.

    Hi Susan,
    I’ve been following the green corn and now roasting fish blogs with interest. Fascinating! Is there any place where the pics are bigger, though? It would be nice to see what you are doing in greater detail. Sure hope you’ll show us just how the whole thing goes together to roast the fish, how the sticks prop it up, etc. Wonderful stuff, keep it coming! *G*
